![]() under-volting it to see if it helps reduce load. Tried it with multiple games all of them black out. I let the laptop rest for awhile and decided to try playing again, played for awhile (approx 10 minutes) and it happens all over again (on the external monitor). Now upon restarting everything went back to normal GPU is running, GPU temps were fine (They barely go above 75). I even went to device manager and upon searching for hardware changes my GPU completely disappears. I opened MSI afterburner to see my GPU wasnt even on, (The reason i can do all this is because the desktop uses the integrated graphics card). So anyways I was playing Rocket League and suddenly my monitor went blank, I assumed i tugged on the HDMI cable but i soon realised that my laptop had gone to the desktop (Game was black screened), I could still hear the audio, upon using the laptop without the monitor I checked my dragon center and saw that my GPU had no temperature nor clock speed. No warranty (When i purchased it from the previous owner I didn't take the reciept which on me is my bad, I tried registering the device on the MSI website but it never recognizes the hardware ID so i just gave up) (Ever since changing thermal paste the laptop only felt smoother and lower temps) I've opened up my laptop and changed the thermal paste on my own because shops were charging me ridiculous prices just to change it. It is connected to an external monitor (for home use) Laptop is a MSI GE72vr 6rf apache pro (Second hand but rather new) I've made this post issue before but theres a new update to this.īefore proceeding a little insight on my setup:
